This stunning lobelia has a vigorous cascading habit and produces masses of carmine-rose flowers with white eyes. Lobelia's are ideal for filling baskets and containers or spilling over low walls and rockeries.
Prefers light to medium soil in an open sunny position. Thrives in less than average soils, frost resistant but drought tender.
Grow notes:
Tropical: Late Summer to Autumn.
Temperate: Late Summer to Autumn.
Cool climate: Late Summer to early Autumn or Spring.
Sow: 1mm deep. Do not sow deeply.
Sow direct in the growing position for best results. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle avoiding excessive root disturbance.
Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position.
Plant space: 10cm
Germination: 10-14 days
Flowering: 15 Weeks
Germinates faster when covered only very lightly. Keep moist during germination.
