A vigorous vine with edible greens; young tender leaves can be eaten raw or cooked. Best grown on trellis, though is also attractive when grown along the ground.
This type of malabar spinach has large fleshy leaves and thick stems, in contrast to the red malabar spinach. Highly disease resistant.
Adaptable to most soils but prefers well drained moisture retaining soil rich in organic matter and a warm sunny sheltered position.

Sow direct or in trays of a quality seed raising mix and transplant when 5-6cm tall.

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants. Pick leaves continuously to promote new growth.
