An small attractive shrub with a spread of 1.5 metres and weeping branches that spill onto the ground. The small leaves are light green and oval to oblong in shape.
Mauve flowers appear in spring and early summer. They are carried in clusters with their stamen bundles curled inwards, similar in shape to a claw. Individual flowers are said to be the largest in the genus. In cultivation the pink claw flower has proved to be hardy and free flowering.
Endemic to the Esperance region of Western Australia.
Prefers a light to medium well-drained soil in an open sunny position, drought and frost resistant.
