An attractive erect compact shrub with upright branches that have a contorted appearance, with light grey papery bark contrasting well with the dark foliage.
Bright mauve 'Pom-pom' shaped flowers appear profusely in dense terminal clusters, from around October to December.
Endemic to the Albany region in the south west of Western Australia
Prefers light well-drained soil in an open sunny position, drought resistant but frost tender.
Propagation is easy from seed.
Melaleuca seed is generally best sown in spring or autumn avoid the coldest and hottest months of the year.

Sow on surface of the growing mix.
Germination generally occurs in around 14-28 days at 18-22°C
