A low spreading shrub, 0.4-1 metre high that produces pink flowers from July to November.
Attractive soft grey foliage blends with the abundance of pink-coloured flowers.
The leaves are arranged alternately, 2–19 mm long and 0.8–3.5 mm wide, and are linear to narrow oval in shape.
They occur naturally in the Avon Wheatbelt, Coolgardie, Esperance Plains, Jarrah Forest, and Mallee in Western Australia.
In 1770, during Captain James Cook's maiden voyage to Australia, sailors used the leaves from these different shrubs as an alternative for tea.
