An old-fashioned favourite, Four O-clocks Formula Mix is an old-time garden favourite that gets its common name from its late afternoon to early morning bloom time.
A tuber-forming perennial with oval lance-shaped leaves and trumpet-shaped fragrant flowers in shades of red, pink, yellow, white, or striped.
Mirabilis is a wonderful addition to an evening garden. Attracts insects and nectar-feeding birds.
Mirabilis are easy to grow and thrive almost anywhere. Self-seeds freely.
Seeds are best sown after the danger of frost has passed.
Sow directly in their growing position. If growing in containers, transplant seedlings when they are large enough to handle.
Soaking the seeds in water overnight will speed up germination. Sow the seeds 6mm.
The seed should germinate in 1-3 weeks at a soil temperature of 20-22°C.

- Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
- As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to keep them moist but not too wet.
