A popular Asian salad green Purple Prince is Mizuna Japanese mustard with deep red-purple serrated leaves with a green underside and bright green stems that have mild flavour with a hint of pepper and a crisp texture.
A vigorous grower with n excellent uniform and shelf life that can be harvested in 6 weeks yielding around 500gram of leaf per plant. Can also be harvested as baby-leaf microgreens.
The Mizuna varieties are considered to be the mildest of the Mustard Greens.

Prefers moist fertile well-drained soil but grows well in almost any garden soil in a sunny position with adequate water.
Grow fast with plenty of water and regular feeds of liquid manure to avoid bitterness.
