This beautiful annual produces bold splashes of brilliant colours during the cool seasons of the year. Dwarf 20 cm compact plants are smothered with large orchid-like blooms in a wide range of colours which include cream, orange, yellow, white, crimson, mauve, and red shades.
These compact plants are great for container gardens and in cool shaded areas.
Prefers light well-drained soil in an open sunny position, drought tolerant but frost tender.
Grow notes:
Tropical: Autumn to Early Winter.
Temperate: Late Summer to Autumn.
Cool climate: Early to Mid-Spring.
Sow: 6mm deep
Sow direct or in trays. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle avoiding excessive root disturbance.
Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position.
Plant space: 10cm
Germination: 10-14 days
