Love-in-a-Mist looks spectacular with a delightful blend of predominantly shades of blue and white with some pink and mauve mixed in. Eye-catching sown in drifts, in borders. Make an excellent cut flower and the papery seed capsules are also popular in dried flower arrangements.
Reseed readily
Prefers rich moist well-drained soil in an open sunny or semi-shade position. Dislikes excessive summer heat.
Grow notes:
Tropical: Late Summer to Early Winter.
Temperate: Late-Summer to Autumn or Spring
Cold: Mid-Summer to Mid-Autumn or Spring.
Sow: 3mm deep.
Sow in trays for best results. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle avoiding excessive root disturbance.
Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position.
Plant space: 25cm
Germination: 14-28 days
