The best way to sow onions is directly in prepared soil.
Sow in shallow furrows and cover lightly.

Onions can also be sowed in punnets and containers.

Keep them cool and moist; do not let them dry out or become waterlogged.

1. Cool climates: February to September.
2. Temperate climates: February to August.
3. Sub-tropical climates: February to June.
4. Tropical climates: February to Mayl
5. Arid climates: March to July.

• Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
• As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to germinate, keep them moist but not too wet.
