A mid-late Intermediate regular cream gold type with uniform medium-large bulbs with tight necks and an excellent storage life.
A cream gold onion with pungent creamy flesh and a great flavour.
Originally selected as a refined M & R Regular type for Export.
Onion seeds are easy to propagate from Seed.
Although you can sow onion seeds in trays and punnets, the best method for growing onion seeds is to sow them directly in the garden.
- Sow in furrows 40 centremertres apart.
- A spacing of 10 centremetres.
- Cover lightly.
- Thin the strongest plants.
Germination:
7-10 days at 18-25°C
Cool climates: February to September.
Temperate climates: February to August.
Sub-Tropical climates: February to June.
Tropical climates: February to May.
Arid climates: March to July.
