A vigorous twining vine with large tubular flowers ending in five spreading lobes. The flowers are usually pale pink with a deep pink throat.
Flowering occurs over a long period between spring and late summer.
A popular plant in cultivation that is very hardy in topical or temperate regions. It is ideally suited to growing on a fence or trellis. It prefers a reliable water supply but, once established, will tolerate extended dry periods.
Endemic to New South Wales and Queensland.
Prefers medium to heavy soil in a protected shaded position, drought resistant but frost tender.
Per-treatment: Soak on water overnight.
Sow seed in a porous seed-raising mix and cover lightly.
Seed requires light to germinate.
Place in a warm-shaded or semi-shaded position keep warm & moist.
