A member of the violet family, a hybrid that has a larger flower than typical varieties. Compact plant up to 25 cm high with 4-5 cm flowers in red, gold and purple shades with yellow and white eyes and dark green heart-like leaves.
Use as a groundcover, in borders and rockery, in baskets, containers and tubs.
Tropical: Late Summer and Autumn.
Temperate: Mid-Summer and Autumn.
Cool climate: Mid-Summer and Autumn or Early Spring.
Sow: 6 mm deep
Best sown in trays and transplant when large enough to handle avoiding excessive root disturbance, approx. 6 weeks.
Plant in a well-drained soil in a sunny position.

Flowering: 15 Weeks
Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
