An ancient variety of Parsley that produces edible leaves and carrot-shaped roots.
Parsley Hamburg Rooted has edible large flat leaves but should not be confused with common parsley or Italian parsley, as neither produce edible roots. It is a specific variety grown as a root vegetable rather than the leaves.
Use grated in salads and as a cooked vegetable, with flavor between carrot and parsnip.
Grow notes:
Adaptable to most good garden soil but will be more productive if grown in well-drained soil with added organic matter in a sunny position.
