An Italian pot variety of flat-leaved parsley with tall young stems and a more intense flavour that is increasingly popular in the kitchen. Indispensable for a huge range of cooked and salad dishes.
Parsley Italian is suitable for growing in pots on the windowsill virtually year-round.
Excellent pest and disease resistance variety makes it ideal for organic gardeners.
Adaptable to most good garden soil but more productive if grown in a well-drained soil with added organic matter in a sunny position.
The best time to sow the seed is in Spring after the last frost.
- Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours before planting. This will help soften the seed coat and speed up the germination process.
- Plant the seeds in well-draining soil as they prefer moist soil but don’t like to be waterlogged.
- Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and keep them moist but not wet.
- Position the pots in a warm and bright location, but not in direct sunlight.
- Once the seedlings emerge, you can transplant them into individual pots or your garden
Germination: 10 to 21 days.
