An early variety of snow pea that produces high yields of crunchy sweet flat pods on plants to 120 cm that produce high yields of large giant sized crunchy sweet flat pods up to 17cm long.
Excellent for salads, stir-fries, steaming, boiling, or eaten raw straight from the bush.
Grow notes:
Climbing variety to 2 metres tall, requires staking.
Tropical: Autumn and Winter.
Temperate: Late Summer to late Winter.
Cold: Early Winter to early Spring
Sow: 2cm deep.
Soaking seed overnight prior to sowing helps with the up-take of moisture for germination. Best sown direct in growing position in moist soil.
Germination: 7-10 days.
Plant space: 5cm
Row space: 1 metre
Maturity: 10-12 weeks
Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
Adaptable to most good garden soils, prefers an open sunny position.
