This dwarf variety is one the most popular of the sugar snap peas that produces a heavy yields of thick walled pods with and sweet tender crisp snap pods 6-8 cm long.
A good all-round variety that can be eaten raw, steamed or stir-fried.
NOTE: May contains 3-5% off type in the seed, these are later maturing and is more vigorous than the true Sugar Bon.
Tropical: Autumn and Winter.
Temperate: Late Summer to late Winter.
Cold: Early Winter to early Spring
Sow: 2cm deep.
Soaking seed overnight prior to sowing helps with the up-take of moisture for germination. Best sown direct in growing position in moist soil.
Germination: 7-10 days.
Plant space: 5cm
Row space: 1 metre
Maturity: 10-12 weeks
Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
Adaptable to most good garden soils, prefers an open sunny position.
