The Galeux d'Eysines pumpkin is a unique and striking variety gaining popularity among gardeners and food enthusiasts.
A French heirloom from the 1800s originated in the town of Eysines. The heavily warted fruits have salmon-coloured skin. Due to the warts resembling peanut shells, they are also known as peanut squash or peanut pumpkin.
Best harvested at maturity to prevent cracking, ideal for soups and stews. Fruits weigh 6- 8kg

The best time to sow pumpkins in Australia
- In temperate and cool climates, sow or plant pumpkins in spring to early summer, after the danger of frost has passed.
- For most regions of Australia, plant pumpkins from mid-September through December.
- In arid regions like central Australia, plant pumpkins in late spring to early summer, usually between October and December.
- In mild zones of Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania, it is best to sow the pumpkins in spring, from September to November.
Harvest pumpkins in all climates during Autumn when the stalks dry.
