An heirloom Japanese pumpkin that produces high yields of good-looking and great-tasting pumpkin with sweet, firm flesh, and a delicate and mellow flavour similar to the taste of chestnuts.
A teardrop-shaped pumpkin with bright orange-red skin. Each plant will bear multiple fruits that weigh 1.8–3.5 kg. A very versatile pumpkin in the kitchen.

Also known as Squash Kuri Red.

Grow notes:

Adaptable to most good garden soils but prefers rich soil with a generous amount of water in full sun.

Sow: 2cm deep
Sow 3-4 seeds in raised mounds 1 metre apart directly in their growing position. Thin to the two strongest plants in each mound.
