PUMPKIN Spookie produces high yields of bright orange-skinned fruits with sweet, fine-textured flesh.
The fruits are round, measuring between 15-20cm in diameter and weighing up to 2kg. This is an heirloom variety from 1966 created by crossing "Sugar Pie" and "Jack O'Lantern".
It is an excellent choice for making pies.
Adaptable to most good garden soils but prefers rich soil wit a generous amount of water in full sun.

Cool climate: Mid-Spring to Early Summer
Sow: 2cm deep
Place 3-4 raised mounds 1 metre apart in the growing position. Thin to the two strongest plants in each mound.
Germination: 6-10 days
