An Austrian variety of pumpkin from the province of Styria that produces large mottled green/gold pumpkins on strong large-leaved vines. Grown for the outstanding large hulless (shell) seeds which are nutritious and can be eaten raw or roasted.
Use flesh for pies, soups, casseroles.

Grow notes:

Adaptable to most good garden soils but prefers a rich soil with a generous amount of water in full sun.

Sow: 2cm deep
Sow 3-4 seeds in raised mounds 1 metre apart direct in growing position. Thin to the two strongest plants in each mound.
