A strong, vigorous growing Rhubarb that is easily grown from seed and ready for harvesting after 1 years growth. Thick stems have a crimson colour that is more intense at the bottom fading to green at the top. Produces medium sized juicy stalks, a heavy producer with tender flesh with an excellent balance of sweetness and acidity. A classic heirloom vegetable.
Adaptable to most good garden soils, prefers an open sunny position.

Temperate: Spring through to early Autumn.
Cool climate: Spring to early Summer
Sow: 6 mm deep
For best results sow in trays of seed raising mix and transplant when 6 cm tall.
