Richea dracophylla is an attractive tall branching shrub with narrow tapering leaves 30 cm long. White or pink flowers 1cm in diameter occur in dense sprays 15 cm long during summer. An excellent foliage plant for a container or as a cut flower.
Native to Tasmania.
Prefers a well-composted moist soil in a protected shaded position, frost resistant but drought tender.
Although seed can be sown most of the year in Australia seed is generally best sown in spring or autumn in temperate climates, avoid the coldest and hottest months of the year. The optimum germination temperature for germination is around 15-23°C for this species.
