Notable for its striking seed heads. The pale blue daisy-shaped flower heads 2.5cm across are followed by silvery, spherical seed heads, which are often dried for use by flower arrangers. Slender green foliage that is green.
Use in beds, borders, cottage gardens or wildflower meadows.
Deadhead regularly for extended bloom.
Attracts butterflies and other pollinators
Native wildflower to southwestern Europe and North Africa, and it is known widely as an ornamental plant.
Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in an open sunny position.
