This popular European leaf vegetable is commonly known as a 'perpetual spinach' type that actually belongs to the "beet" family but the taste is more like spinach.

The smooth green leaves are also sweeter and taster than the traditional silverbeet.

Drought, frost and bolt resistant.

Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils, prefers an open sunny position.

Sow: 10mm deep.
Sow direct or in trays of a quality seed raising mix and transplant when 5-6cm tall.
Germination: 6-7 days.

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants. Pick leaves continuously to promote new growth
