Producing strong dense, deep purple flowers this is a favourite home gardener and for professional cut flower growers for outdoor production.
Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in a sunny position. Prefers a rich loose soil but will tolerate dry poor soils.

Temperate: Mid-summer to Autumn.
Cold: Mid-summer to Autumn.
Sow: 3mm deep.
Sow direct or in trays transplant when 5 cm high, avoid excessive root disturbance.
Germination: 10-14 days.

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
