Pollen free, Royal Velvet is a medium-maturity multi-headed cut flower variety. It has an attractive deep red petal colour which makes it quite unique as an ornamental sunflower.
An attractive sunflower that supports a larger primary head which flowers first followed by smaller axial branching flowers. This feature gives it a longer overall flowering period which makes it great for the home gardener or commercial flower grower.
Grow notes:
Tropical: Year round
Sub-tropical: Spring to summer
Temperate: Spring to summer
Cold: Late spring to mid-summer.
Sow: Sow 2cm (¾”) deep direct into the flowering position.
Germination: 7-14 days
