Sweet Pea ‘Heirloom Mix’ is a sweet pea mixture comprising of heirloom and old-fashioned varieties that are still extremely popular today. 
Blooms profusely in a fragrant mixture of colours including lavender, pink, purple, red, salmon and white.

An excellent variety that is perfect for old-fashioned and fragrant gardens. Ideal cut flowers for fragrant flower vases.

Traditionally, the 17th of March, St Patrick's Day, is used to guide sowing sweet peas in many parts of Australia.
It is adaptable to most well-drained garden soils but does best in rich, friable soil that drains well. Avoid waterlogged soils.

Sweet peas are typically planted in autumn in southern Australia. They have a growth period throughout the winter, and the flowers are picked during the spring. 
Pre-treatment: Soak the seed in water overnight.
Sow: 25 mm deep in the growing position.

Alternatively, Soak sweet pea seeds overnight, and place them on a moist paper towel in a plastic bag on top of the refrigerator. Check daily for moisture and germination, then sow at the required depth.

Cold climates: Spring or Late summer-mid Autumn.

Germination: 10-14 days.  

Seed can also be started by soaking seed overnight and placing on a moist paper towel and folding over. Put the paper towel with the seed in a plastic bag and place on top of the refrigerator. Check daily for moisture content and any seed that has germinated. Seed should start to germination in 3-5 days after which they can be sown at the required depth.
