The super ruby red coloured stems and green leaves with red veins make this Swiss chard look almost like rhubarb.
Swiss chard “Super Rhubarb Red” is a versatile vegetable that can be sautéed, braised or the mild flavoured leaves can make a striking contrast in salads.
An exceptionally reliable variety that is popular with salad growers. Selected for its improved bright red stems which extend into the leaf veins. A very ornamental variety growing 40-50 cm tall that is ideal for container gardens and looks great in either the vegetable garden herb garden or mixed with flowering annuals.

Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils prefers an open sunny position.

Sow direct or in trays of a quality seed raising mix and transplant when 5-6cm tall.
