A real old-fashioned favourite heirloom from the USA bred in 1860's that has become one of the most popular staking varieties grown today. Produces medium to large globe-shaped fruits.
A very reliable and versatile variety with good yields of meaty sweet tomatoes.
Use on salads, sliced in sandwiches or sauces. can be used whole or diced for canning.

Grow notes:

Adaptable to most soils but produces the best fruit in deep free-draining soil with consistent moisture in a sunny position. Protect from strong winds, and support with stakes when required.

Sow: 6mm deep
For best results grow in seed raising trays of a quality seed raising mix. Keep warm and moist. Transplant when 5-7cm high.
