Crimson Clover also known as Italian Clover is an annual legume that grows to 90cm tall and produces attractive dark, crimson flowers throughout spring and summer.
It will add nitrogen to the soil, and it is ideal for attracting bees and other insects that feed on its nectar making it an ideal pollinator.
Although native to Europe Crimson Clover is also used for cover crops in some areas of the U.S and Japan.
The vigorous upright growth of crimson clover, coupled with its ability to grow productively on a wide range of soils makes it a useful plant.
Looks stunning when mass planted. A useful species for mixes in the flower garden. meadow or landscapes.

Germinates in autumn, and exhibits relatively good winter growth followed by rapid growth in early to mid-spring. Flowers throughout spring and summer
Adaptable to most soils but prefers light to medium soil in an open sunny position.
