This compact non-trailing nasturtium has deep-red flowers that have a velvety texture and look almost black in low light. They appear in great profusion over a prolonged period and the best display is produced when they are grown in full sun.
Nasturtiums make excellent bedding plants and are also good for growing in rockeries, troughs, tubs or large hanging baskets. All parts of the plant are edible, use to brighten up salads or use in stir fries, flowers have a peppery taste.

Adaptable to most and conditions, prefers well-drained moist soil but also tolerates nutritionally poor soil.

Sow: 12mm deep
For best results sow direct in growing position

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.

Seed can be soaked overnight to assit with moisture uptake.
For best results sow 2-3cm deep directly in the growing position.
For mass planting scatter seed and rake over at a rate of 13.5g/m2
