These yellow fleshed mini watermelons are sweet with a crisp flavour and very juicy. Watermelons add a sweet flavour to fruit salads or when used in fruit drinks.

Mini watermelons are about the same size as a Rockmelons which makes them ideal for snacking and lunchboxes.

Temperate climate:Spring to Early Summer.
Cool climate: Mid-Spring to Early Summer.

Germination: 6-10 days
Maturity: 15-20 weeks

Best sown direct early in the season. For earlier planting in cooler climates raise in pots in warm conditions and transplant after 3-4 weeks. Requires temperatures of around 18-20°C for germination. 
Sow in rows 40-60cm between plants and in rows 120cm apart
If sowing direct, plant 3-4 seeds 15mm deep in mounds, later thinning to the two strongest plants.
Plant in a free-draining soil in a position with full sun. 
For best results fertilise and keep well watered, keep soil moist and avoid overhead watering where possible. 
Harvest after 75-90 days when the stem turns brown and begins to break away from fruit.
