Zinnia Salmon Queen is a gorgeous, unique colour variety of Giant Zinnias. Excellent as a garden plant or cut flower, Salmon Queen Zinnias will produce a bloom of up to 100 mm over the summer with good weather resistance and straight stems. Zinnias are great cut flowers and attract butterflies and beneficial insects to the garden.

An outstanding performer in garden beds, borders, and containers. They also make good pollinator plants.
Zinnias are one of the easiest annuals to grow and are perfect for cutting flowers.

Native to Mexico, Zinnia is grown as an ornamental in many places and naturalised in scattered locations in South and Central America, the West Indies, the United States, Australia, and Italy.

Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in a sunny position. Tolerant of average soils.

Zinnia is a warm-season plant and is best grown in well-drained soil in a sunny position.

  1. Best sown 6 mm directly where they are to grow.
  2. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
  3. If mass planting as a meadow scatter seeds and rake over.

*Please note:

  • Please do not discard seeds that do not germinate too hastily; seeds will often lay dormant until conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
  • As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to keep them moist but not too wet.
  • These growth notes are provided as guidance only and do not guarantee successful germination.
