A gorgeous colour variety of Zinnia Illumination Deep Rose has large double flower with long stem making them ideal for cutting.
Excellent as a garden plant or cut flower, Salmon Queen Zinnias will produce a bloom up to 100 mm (4”) across.

Zinnias are one of the easiest annuals to grow. An excellent choice as a garden bed background plant or a cut flower with a long vase life.

Adaptable to most well-drained garden soils in a sunny position. Tolerant of average soils.

Grow notes:

TropicalWinter to Late Summer.
Temperate: Spring & Early Summer.
Cool climate: Spring & Early Summer.

Sow: 6 mm deep
Sow direct in the growing position or in trays. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle avoiding excessive root disturbance.
Plant in a well-drained soil in a sunny position.
Plant space: 30 cm
Germination: 14-21 days

Flowering: 12 Weeks

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.

Zinnia is a warm-season plant and is best grown in well-drained soil in a sunny position.

  1. Best sown 6 mm directly where they are to grow.
  2. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
  3. If mass planting as a meadow scatter seeds and rake over.

Germination: 7-14 days at a soil temperature of 20-24°C
