An attractive flowering shrub with an erect stem with slender branches. Leaves (phylloclades) are narrow and pointed. Yellow-orange and red-brown pea-shaped flowers occurring in clusters from July to November.
Easily grown with beautiful flowers and foliage, suitable for dried flower arrangements. It is excellent planted in a container or the garden.
Prefers light to medium moist soil in an open sunny position. Drought and frost tender.
The best time to sow Daviesia is autumn or spring, so avoid the coldest and hottest months.Seeds germinate readily; however, they do have a hard outer coating that is impervious to water. To assist in the uptake of moisture for germination to occur, seeds are best scarified by pre-treating with hot water first.
