An attractive tall plant with a lovely aroma. The leaves, immature flower tops and mature seeds are an essential pickling spice. This easy-to-grow productive herb will reseed itself if allowed. As a companion plant, dill can enhance the growth of cabbages, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. Pick the small leaves regularly, every three to four days. Sow in mid spring and mid-summer.
Adaptable to most good garden soils that are well-drained, prefers full sun but avoid growing in the hottest months.
