Tsakoniki are the most famous Greek heirloom eggplants that produce long cylindrical fruit 22-24 cm long, striped in purple and white with very tender and sweet flesh.
Adaptable to most good garden soils that are well composted and free draining. Requires full sun and a long growing season. Perennial in the tropics but grown as an annual in temperate zones.
