Fine flavoured glossy red violet square fruit 10-12 cm long on a bushy spreading plant to 80 cm. Very prolific. Pinching out the tips again at 38-40cm will encourage fruit formation. Pick fruit while the skin is still shiny and firm.
Adaptable to most good garden soils that is well composted and free draining. Requires full sun and a long growing season. Perennial in the tropics but generally grown as an annual in temperate zones.
