A fast-growing vine that produces very large fruits up to 20 kg. The fruits are green with a waxy coating. The flesh is white with a sweet flavour and can be used in soups, steamed or stir-fried. All parts of the plant are edible and used medically for thousands of years in Asia. Because of the waxy coating, it will store for a very long time.
Growing note:
Adaptable to most good garden soils but prefers a rich soil with generous amount of water in full sun.
