A popular Asian-style vegetable that produces thick stems with small compact broccoli-type heads and with blue-green crinkled leaf leaves. The flavour is very similar to that of sweet broccoli and has a mustard taste. Eaten widely in Chinese cuisines such as stir-fries and laksas but is also excellent steamed.
Excellent heat tolerance and will grow well in hot locations and seasons.
Adaptable to most garden soils that are composted and well-drained in a sunny position.
