Hidabeni is a hybrid version of the typical Japanese red turnip. Hardy and easy to grow. A very attractive deep red skin globe shape root vegetable. The red-veined leaves are nutritious, and high in carotene and calcium, they can be steamed and stir-fried or pickled.
Fast-growing plants and roots can be harvested 50 days after sowing. This improved variety adapts well to different climates.
