A small slender shrub or small tree with elegantly formed crowns and bright yellow flowers spheres borne in simple racemes about 30 mm long at the ends of branchlets from late July early to October.
Branches become pendulous during flowering due to the weight of the prolonged and prolific flowering.
Endemic to the southern coastal region of Western Australia extending into South Australia.
Prefers light to medium soils in an open sunny position. Ideal for coastal sandy soil and limestone areas. Frost and drought resistant.
The best time to sow Acacia seed is:
Cool climates: September to May.
Temperate climates: September to May.
Sub-Tropical climates: August to May
Tropical climates: September to November or March to May.
Arid climates: August to May.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
