A fast-growing rounded shrub 2-3 metre tall commonly known as Coastal Umbrella Bush displays mid-gold globular flowers from July to December,
The Phyllodes (leaves) are narrowly linear 3-7 cm long and 1-4 mm wide,
A useful shrub for screening or wind-break in parks and coastal conditions.

VICFLORA Threat status: Critically Endangered

Occurs naturally in Western Australia and South Eastern Australia.

Will tolerate many different soils as long as it is well-drained. Full sun to part shade although flowering will be more profuse in full sun.

Pre-treatment: Hot Water
Place the seed in a container and pour in just boiled water and allow to soak overnight.
The swollen seed can then be sown, re-treat seeds that have not swollen.
Sow seed 3-5mm keep moist.Germination should occur in 10-21 days @ 18-22C.
