A medium-sized tree with a grey trunk and fine feathery leaves. Masses of golden-yellow ball-shaped flowers occur during spring.
A fast-growing Acacia making it an ideal quick-growing hedge or screening plant. Hardy Acacia that is suited to most conditions.

Endemic to New South Wales and Queensland although it has become naturalised in parts of Victoria, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory.

Prefers a warm temperate climate with moist draining soil. Frost hardy to -7 °C

Pre-treatment: Hot Water
Place the seed in a container and pour in just boiled water and allow to soak overnight.
The swollen seed can then be sown, re-treat seeds that have not swollen.
Sow seed 3-5mm keep moist.Germination should occur in 10-21 days @ 18-22C.
