A beautiful, delicate shrub that's useful in the garden and landscaping.
A very ornamental species that are not commonly cultivated with bluish-grey to greenish oblong to narrowly oblong phyllodes (leaves) with rods of bright golden yellow flowers on long stalks occurring from July to October.

Occurs naturally in Western Australia in the IBRA Regions Avon Wheatbelt, Esperance Plains, Jarrah Forest and the Swan Coastal Plain.

Prefers light to medium soil in positions from semi-shade to full sun. Tolerant to drought and moderately frost resistance.

For best results, sow the seeds in spring or early summer. Sowings in autumn and winter may result in slow germination, weaker seedlings, or germination failure.

  1.  soak in water for 24-48 hours.
  2. Next, soak seeds in near boiling water overnight to help soften the tough exterior and improve germination.
  3. Sow the seeds to a depth equal to the seed's width.

Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.

Please note:

  • Please do not be too hasty to discard seeds that do not germinate; seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural germination requirements.
  • As with all seeds, they must have adequate water to germinate, keep them moist but not too wet.
  • These growth notes are provided as guidance only and do not guarantee successful germination.
  • The customer should do their due diligence that they are suited to their region.
