A very attractive shrub or small tree with attractive minni-ritchi bark with arching silvery coloured branchlets with fine silky hairs. Bright yellow cylindrical flowers occur on short stalks in the phyllode (leaf) axils during spring. Each phyllode (leaves) is 8 -20 cm long.
The ideal variety of Acacia for use as a garden specimen and general landscaping.
Prefers light well-drained soil in a sunny position, drought-resistant, and tolerant to light frosts.
Occurs naturally in the Eremaean Province and South-West Province of Western Australia.
Acacia is easy to propagate from seed.
The best time to sow Acacia seed is autumn, Late winter and spring.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
