Commonly known as nelia or nealie, Acacia loderi typically grows as a shrub or small tree 3 to 8 metres tall and produces an abundance of bright yellow flowers that occur from August to October.
The phyllodes (leaves) are green to grey-green and are long and narrow. 2-11cm in length and 1-2.5mm wide.
Occurs naturally in the inland regions of south-eastern Australia mainly in far western New South Wales, to north-western Victoria in the south and the eastern regions of South Australia.

Prefers light well-drained soil in an open sunny position. Drought tolerant.
For best results, sow the seeds in spring or early summer. Sowings in autumn and winter may result in slow germination, weaker seedlings, or germination failure.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
