An attractive small shrub with an erect stem and spreading pendulous branches with large deep yellow flowers occurring in short clusters during winter and spring.
The phyllodes (leaves) are divided, dainty and feathery.
A hardy shrub that is ideal for smaller gardens.
Endemic to Western Australia.
Prefers a well-drained soil in an open sunny position. Drought-resistant but frost tender. Ideally suited to shallow soil on rocky land and sandstone country. Suitable for tropical areas providing soil is free draining.
For best results, sow the seeds in spring or early summer. Sowings in autumn and winter may result in slow germination, weaker seedlings, or germination failure.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
