A small bushy shrub or small tree with a deep red angular stems and grey-green phyllodes (leaves) that is reddish foliage in winter.
Bright yellow ball shaped flowers occur in clusters late winter to early spring.
Occurs naturally in Victoria, Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales and Queensland
Will tolerate many different soils as long as it well drained and non-saline. Full sun to part shade although flowering will be more profuse in full sun.
For best results, sow the seeds in spring or early summer. Sowings in autumn and winter may result in slow germination, weaker seedlings, or germination failure.
Germination: Typically occurs within two weeks.
